Hull carvel, mahogany on oak varnished.
Topside mahogany varnished
Morris vadette sidevalve, mk2, original engine (complete rebuild 2005)

New mattresses and curtains (2007)
Varnished hull and topsides every year
Tar varnish bottom every year
Hull sprayed with timber preservative every spring internally
Full under floor bilge painted
Service every year by retired marine engineer
Laid up on hard Oct till May with removal of floors and soft furnishings

Bilge blower and auto fire extinguisher fitted

HISTORY
This boat was built for the private use of the owners of R Moore and Sons Wroxham boat builders and hire fleet operators, as they did not get on very well together, it was put into hire fleet in 1952-53 and another 6 built on the same lines, but the workmanship and materials were far superior on the first boat.
Moorhen 1 stayed in hire fleet till 1967 then went into private use kept on yard in wet shed in summer and dry shed winter till 1974-5

Cruisers International Holiday 224 Diesel Powered Sports Boat
This is a great little boat, with shower,sea toilet,hob/sink unit,12v refrigerator,microwave & shore power.
VHF radio,Garmin chart plotter with med charts,compass,spot light,speed & depth log,auto fire extinguisher in engine room,Bruce anchor,etc.
This boat spent most of its life on the Norfolk Broads. After regs changed it was too fast to stay, so I moved it Alcudia where I own the mooring. Due to advancing age I am reluctantly selling the boat and mooring together as one package.
The mooring is 10 x 3.5m in Alcudiamar with 24/7 securety and all services. |

Tumblehome is a beautiful 24’ mahogany on oak river cruiser. She was originally built in 1952 by Royalls of Wroxham. In 2005 she started a complete restoration at Martham Boat building company. The restoration took 3 years and included; complete re-planking above the water line, 80% re-planking below the water line, new roof, new front windows, new screens and canopy and complete re upholstering.
She also has a new Nani 3.21 diesel engine with hot water system, new 12V ASU fridge and a new electric flush toilet and waste system. This refit was completed in 2008 and she has had 2 seasons on the water.
Tumblehome is a beautiful old boat with modern creature comforts and reliability. She has 4 berths in 2 doubles and makes an extremely comfortable boat for 2 people and a fun weekender for 4.
There is a complete photographic record of the restoration along with receipts for all the work, new equipment and fittings. The engine has been fully serviced from new and only has 300 hours on.
